This nationally accredited course, established in 2014, has already proven itself an incredible springboard for aspiring professional dancers, who benefit from a unique opportunity to train full-time alongside Australia’s leading contemporary dance company, and to interact with nationally and internationally renowned choreographers.

Held at the Company’s professional dance studios, overlooking Sydney Harbour at Walsh Bay, the Pre-Professional Year is a one-year course providing dancers the opportunity to develop their technique, artistry and performance skills.

The program covers contemporary dance and ballet technique, improvisation and composition, partnering, repertoire classes and workshops, audition techniques, yoga, Pilates, nutrition, injury prevention, choreographic development and performance opportunities.

Entry to the course is by application followed by an invitation-only audition to be held on 6 September 2015.
