Dance Week 08 program cover

We have a great celebration of dance across the region, with free classes for all ages across a huge range of dance styles and genres, and a visit from the Sydney Dance Company. So Get Out And Dance is the message—how can we resist?

Dance Week is the annual celebration of dance, and we make it a special project to work with many of our members to share the joy of dance, including social dances, danzon, belly dance, Bollywood, sequenced and traditional dance, with a big press campaign. Canberra is full of dance, from tiny tappers through to seniors line-dancing, busy dance studios and hip-hoppers, independent dancers and classical ballet stars. If you’ve never tried, or haven’t danced in a while, Dance Week is the best opportunity to give dancing a go and have a great time.
