Marilyn Rowe is Director of The Australian Ballet School. A former Prima Ballerina of The Australian Ballet, she danced all the major classical and contemporary roles in the Company’s repertoire and had works specially created for her. She has been Artistic Advisor to both Company and School and has held many positions in the Company, including Ballet Director, Deputy Artistic Director and Director of the Dancers Company. Miss Rowe is a former member of the Immigration Review Panel and a Life Governor of Berry Street Child and Family Care. She is included in the Victorian Honour Roll of Women (Women Shaping the Nation, Centenary of Federation 2001) and a member of international juries, including the Prix de Lausanne, Youth America Grand Prix, the Asian Pacific International Ballet Competition and the Beijing International Ballet Competition. Ms Rowe was a Director of The Australian Ballet Board from 1994 to 2009.
